MP30/MP28 Answers

Q: How do I know which size I need, the MP28 or the MP30?

A: The MP30 is the adult version and the MP28 is the children's version. The MP30 is for players who use a game bat that is 32" or longer and the MP28 is for players who use a game bat that is 31" or shorter. If you feel that you are between the MP30 and MP28 for some reason, go with the MP30, as the player can always grow into it.

Q: How does the MP30/MP28 Baseball Training Bat work to get you into better swing positions?

A: The thick handle, heavy weight, and even weight distribution forces players to use the big muscles to control the swing. On video, the MP30/MP28 has been shown to help the player achieve the key positions of the baseball swing. A player only needs to learn this new swing movement and apply it to his game swings.

Q: Are there instructions that come with the bat?

A: The instructions are on the website. Click on the "How Do I Use The MP30 Training Bat" link at the top of the site.

Q: Are the players on the site paid to give testimonials?

A: No. Every player on the site wanted to improve his power and consistency and gave the MP30/MP28 Training Bat a try. The improvements are real and so are the testimonials.

Q: What are the MP30/MP28 Training Bats made of?

A: A select heavy Maple wood.

Q: What are the sizes of the MP30 and MP28?

A: The MP30 is 30" long and the MP28 is 28" long.

Q: How heavy are the MP30/MP28 Training Bats?

A: The MP30 is ≈ 40 ounces and the MP28 is ≈ 36 ounces.

Q: How can I get a better grip on my MP30/MP28 Training Bat?

A: Rub the grip with sand paper and then coat it with a thin layer of pine tar.

Q: Why are the bats made with a select extra heavy wood?

A: The MP30/MP28 Training Bat is designed to be heavy enough to work the big muscles but light enough to work the fast twitch muscle fibers. Also the player will feel the weight more evenly distributed as opposed to using a bat donut, which makes the bat top heavy and primarily works the forearm muscles.

Q: What does MP30 and MP28 stand for?

A: "MP" is the designation we put on the bat when we first began to test it. After the first two weeks players noticed a new "pop" to their hits so we called it the "More Power Bat." "More Power" then got shortened to "MP." The number that follows (28 or 30) is the length of the bat.

Q: Why are the bats shorter than a regular bat?

A: The shorter length, when used in training, improves the player's pitch selection and teaches him to have his center of gravity closer to the ball at contact, one of the keys to hitting with power.

Q: Should I use the MP30/MP28 Baseball Training Bat during live pitching drills?

A: You can, but it is made to be used for dry cuts, on deck, off of a tee, or for soft toss. When you train with the MP30/MP28 Training Bat, you are changing your swing mechanics and your focus should be on your movements. Take note of the new swing feelings throughout the swing. Then hit balls off of the tee with a regular bat and transfer those same feelings, but now add the wrist snap.

Q: I have a son/daughter that is in between sizes. Should I get the MP30 or the MP28?

A: Go with the MP30 if you feel he/she will be growing rapidly very soon.
